I hate how women have basically appropriated incel culture and behaviors and yet no one gives a shit. I'm not even talking about the femcel shit but stuff like yumeshipping and falling in love with fictional characters. 10 years ago, if a guy said he was in love with an anime character he'd be ridiculed, laughed at, called a virgin who can't get women, etc. Nowadays, almost every girl in anime and manga spaces has a "fictional other" or a yume or some dumb shit and loudly proclaim their love to them online to only widespread support and encouragement. It just pisses me off because we all know that if a man did the same thing, he'd be called a loser. Hell I even saw a post where a girl brought a cut out of a fictional guy to her prom and all of the comments were supportive and kind. This was a conventionally attractive young white girl too. She 100 percent could find a boyfriend or at the very least a prom date if she put in even a small amount of effort to connect with a real person, but she doesn't and obsesses over this fictional character instead. If a guy does it, at least he probably couldn't have gotten a girlfriend even if he tried, but he's the one who'd get ridiculed while all this girl gets is support? The double standards just infuriate me to no end, women don't even have to try and they end up like this while a guy could spend his whole life trying and be hated for it.
