There are self-help books, videos, seminars and all the other bullshit that this industry spawned. To me it's a cope and just a way for the people who provide these things to get rich. Instead of spending money on those things people should spend it on themselves and enjoy it.

It's a very sad phenomenon, evidence of an economy that is falling apart, of only the super-rich getting richer and everyone else being overworked but underpaid, and hardly being able to afford proper healthcare, leisure time for recharging batteries etc., and so instead they'll all read shit self-help books, hoping that it will enable them to exploit themselves more efficiently.
