Serious Does any of you suffer from visual snow/visual static?

tfw you made me notice it again

i was used to it and didn't see it since i was 15

Damn, having such a condition would probably cause me to completely dissociate.
my condolences.

Yes, but I don't think the optometrist believed me, he thought I was confusing it with eye floaters(which I also have). Ngl I didn't even realize it until relatively recently, I guess I just assumed that's how everyone saw, JFL.

It doesn't affect me very much, but I can only assume that some have it worse than others.

Same here.

This is a very rare condition

I also have tinnitus

Thankfully not. I used to have anxiety about developing HPPD (hallucinogenic persisting perception disorder) after tripping a few times. I'd probably go insane if everything looked like it had a layer of film or static over it.

The thing is, it isn't normal...
Well fuck. My vision is 20/20 but I've had this since I can remember, it doesn't affect anything in life though right?

Can't say so.

No, it won't affect anything.
It's just that most people see everything without that static

Another situation where its fucking over for me then tbh

Theory here: I have visual static and I have extreme perception for dark objects. I.e., I can instantly spot where every insect is in a room even if it isn't moving, as long as it is darkly colored (i.e. black or brown) whereas i have trouble spotting lighter insect colors (i.e. white).

Perhaps visual snow is a heredity trait that developed to allow us incels to better be able to scavenge and live off of insects (because we are either too weak or sickly to hunt larger animals).
