To think with your head means to disregard your emotions when making a choice. Only logic matters to you.

My goal is that the longer time I have for a decision, the more I use my brain. Of course in split-second decisions I don't use it, it's too slow. But even when I make a rather quick decision I usually go for emotions or a rote response I have prepared for this situation as my brain would not be fast enough.

But my behaviour still is strongly affected by emotions. I act differently when I am angry to when I feel calm. If I am angry I don't want to interact with other people though.

Everyone falls prey to emotional decision-making at some point in their lives. The key is where you let your emotions make the decisions for you, instead of your brain. If you let your major life decisions be driven by emotions, you will be a train wreck. If let your heart make insignificant choices for you, like what flavor your ice coffee should be, you'll be OK.
