unfortunately the footage isn't dated so I don't know how old she was but I would be curious to know.
Consensus seems to be she was scouted around 13-14 (not sure the particular month/year) and her voice actress made some comment in the 80s about Disney looking for 14yos to voice the part (and rejected some 11yo girl because she sounded 30) prior to Marge giving this interview in 2001 where she talks about 14-16 range - she was born in Sept 1919 so in Dec 1937 when the film actually reelased she was 18 but apparently they'd been developing the film since around 32
