Ya back in 2005 I was debating online about what would happen when automation changed the economy. I said probably like Japan which already hit that point in the early 90's. Then it went to 0% interest rates. And when that wasn't enough the Bank of Japan began printing. Then eventual printing funding more and more of the national budget with stimulus spending.
Fast forward til today and that is what happened in the economy/central bank/national budgets in Western countries.
One sort of interesting thing is the Japanese birth rates haven't been hit as hard as you might think.

I think men that become incel and get disrespected at every turn won't be hard workers and contribute a lot to society. We don’t have the same kind of repressed and conformist culture that Japan does. Japan already has mind bogglingly low crime rates but a high suicide rate; Japanese people have humility, self effacement, never making a fuss, shame and conformity pushed on them from a young age. In no modern western country would normal people work for those insane Japanese working hours not strike for shorter working hours (people would riot in the U.K.), but the Japanese never complain.
