If you were asked would tell the truth or lie?

I started thinking about it today. Up to now I was under the premise that if asked, I'd say the truth but I was never asked such a question so far. My opinion was that it's better to admit right away than be caught in the lie. If they see through the lie you just come off as more of a loser but why not lie since I'm probably seen as a loser anyway. There is a benefit to lying though, you get to skip that "hah, virgin" bullshit.

In the end I think I'll just dodge the question with some smart-ass response. I know it's trivial but I'm on the fence and curious.

I feel like I should post an update since I made the thread. I thought about it tbhngl, telling the truth and not giving a fuck is the based thing to do but lying can have it's advantages if done properly. There will be times for lies and times for truth, I'll make it up as I go and adjust the course of action according to the situation when/if presented. I know it sounds vague, that's because it is.
