Serious Do you know how to drive, cook and do adult stuff??

I can do most "adult" things, as I have always lived in rural areas, so you cannot go anywhere without a car and as my mother died in my early teens and my father has been in a nursing home for Alzheimer's for the past three years. Because of this, I cannot "NEET" even if I wanted to as I have student loans and rent to pay. Things like basic "cooking" and so on are not as difficult as people make it out to be as I can make a whole chicken or roast rather easily. I am still rather poor, though, as my low-level corporate job does not pay much after all of my bills.

I am in a bit of a paradox, though. I guess I am "semi-successful" even if money is tight but I am also KHHV at 42 and it only drives home the other areas I am lacking in.

I want to learn more, but I'm asking because when I've felt very depressed I have thought on never learning any of those, because what would be the point?

Do you guys know how to be a responsible adult?

some of it yeah,but don’t have a real job and I could learn how to cook better but I can just make rice,pasta and cook meat and maybe some other things

Yeah that often happens ,why it took 3 -4years for me to get my drivers license

I learned to drive and got my permit and license at age 21 though my siblings and other people in the family and neighborhood got their licenses at like 15-17. I stole money from my mom since age 16-18 and put it in a bank account I made by myself in secret, and then paid out of pocket for driving school at 21. I also didn't really know how to cook until 22 when an elderly landlady taught me so I can cook and clean for her to pay my rent. My parents didn't teach me shit and barely invested in me so I had to learn everything on my own or as an adult. I've been paying my own bills and investing since 18.

driving yes but i dont have a lisence and yes i can cook i literally learned it all from yt tutorials and my own experience jfl
