If I was good with speaking, I would be way more than what I am currently doing. I would not be a software developer rotting in silence, but would work as a public speaker or something like that.

Perhaps, with good enough public speaking skills, one could be a ugly mofo and still be able to influence people. Just look at the Japanese cult leader.

Those people are not remarkable-looking, but they lead mass movements because of their charisma and good speaking skills.
