I have 2 cats I had another one a couple years ago but it died. I think it’s a good cope for me.

I would get a dog though. Cats like independence and you have to let them roam outside so they don’t get depressed but it’s risky cuz a fox could kill it or get run over or someone steals it. A dog will be more clingy and you can take it on walks and if you don’t get a bitch ass breed it can protect you too
