I was only once behind the wheel. Driving in my city is super pointless (not enough parking space, cheap/good public transport, bus lanes) so I wouldn't have any motivation to do it regularly.
It seems fun enough, but the overall cost of owning and using a car is too high to justify it in my situation.

Consent to sex is 16 in my state (Ohio), same as driving. Though your statement stands in alot of states. Driving is not particularly hard, so I'm ok with our order. Car insurance is INSANE when you're 16 though since you're a huge liability.

In Europe it's much harder to get it than in USA. In some (most?) European countries you need to pass medical exams, theory tests, a first-aid course and what not before you even get in a car. Then you need to have a minimum time of practical training and pay for it. Then you get to the final driving test which you may or may not pass.

It's expensive and time consuming and you can fail it several times (thus costing even more money).

I knew a guy who failed it multiple times and spent a ton of money and time on it (and still drove like shit).
