Serious Do you guys know how to dress?

I've wasted at least 1k dollars on buying clothes, wearing them once or twice and then realizing that they look retarded.

Whats the point of dressing for others? Wear what you feel comfortable with instead of trying to impress others, it doesn't work anyway, and then you look like a Rolexfag.

I am skinny, and therefore do not wear tshirts as they highlight my arms which are not that great looking, instead I wear various button-up long sleeve shirts and cuff the sleeves - its more stylish and looks better. If its slightly colder, I unbutton my shirt and wear a t-shirt under it. But matching the colors is the very important. For example. If I wear tan chinos then a good combo would be white tshirt and a black solid button up shirt over it, preferably unbuttoned but it depends on your style.

Both casual sneakers and more formal footwear work for this setup.

If it's real windy, I pop on a leather jacket.

This is just some basic advise. I know quite a bit about how to dress so if you are looking for more advice let me. I can dress any an all body types.

That is not entirely accurate. If you put your clothing together well you will feel good yourself, what others will think is secondary. Of course, dressing well does not mean wearing suits all day or "luxary brand clothing".

If something fits you well, not baggy, the colors go well - you will find it not only comfortable but also practical.

I'd take white/tan chinos for summer anytime over jeans or shorts. Jeans are an incredibly rugged material and you easily get hot in them and shorts are just for boys in my opinion, however there are ways to make shorts work for men in summer. For example on the beach, of course shorts would be more optimal, I wear them mostly on specific occasions.

I'm not one of those hypebeast copers, but I always dress in nice clothes, and I dress pretty much like a Chad prep. I've been complimented countless times on my outfits, always by guys. I'm cocky enough about it that I can easily say I was probably one of the best dressers in my high school.
Harvey Nichols in London.

Have also tried it once at Bergdorf Goodman at NYC.

Don't think that this is possible now because corona though
Damn, those are some expensive stores. Coming to think of it, I think Neiman-Marcus might've had that kind of thing going on too, but it's been a really long time since I ever stepped foot into one of those. I wear nice clothes, but not ones that are THAT nice and expensive.

jfl
hypebeast copers are annoying and try to shoulder check framelets to prove some kind of point.

Corona is causing many department stores to go bankrupt tbh
Men's Warehouse might close soon.

My guy, just wear neutral colours. get a couple good pieces of clothing for each of the basics: t shirts, jumpers, hoodies/sweaters, jeans, sweatpants, and shorts. When in doubt, choose colours such as navy blue, dark red, black, white, gray, green, mustard yellow, tan, khaki, these pretty much fit anyone. If you're not sure, hold it up to a mirror and see how it looks with your skin tone. As a general rule, you want your legs to be fitted more than your torso, so wear tight-ish or structured jeans and you can wear a tight or loose shirt. also get a good solid neutral coloured coat, (navy or black is best,) and also solid black/white sneakers, and socks don't really matter. You can never go wrong with black, white, grey and navy. If you find a couple colours and styles of clothing you think you look good in, stick to it. Also keep in mind different textures. You want options between structured, loose/flowy, soft, thick, breathable, and stretchy.

These colours also shouldn't clash horribly with each other, so you can mix and match pretty much as much as you want within reason.

Having a sister has at least taught me this much about fashion.

layering helps
Ofc, you look ridiculous no matter what you wear if you're fat.

I'm always with shorts and a a shirt, now in winter a long-sleeved shirt and a light coat over it. I honestly don't care at all.

It’s a good thing to practice. I’ve spent the last few years in streetwear looksmaxxing but now im tired of looking like an IG page. I recommend all cels to at least try to match your shorts with your shirts.

Yeah I know how to put on my clothes and all that.

I just wear shorts and T-shirts because that's what I like wearing. I have no idea if my 'style', if you can even call it that, is in line with the latest fashion trends and couldn't care less.
