The midwits, several of whom described themselves as cognitively gifted and very educated, are more disliked by me. They never wasted an opportunity to flex their supposed intellectual prowess, but I found them to be fraudsters and dilettantes.
They would abruptly change the subject, ADHD style, dismiss an observation with an adolescent wisecrack, and privilege their feelings and intuitions over systematic data.
The dislike was mutual. According to an ex-acquaintance of mine, they “voted me off conversations,” presumably because they were sick of me trying to keep the conversation on track and correcting them when they shot off their mouths on topics they knew nothing about. But these midwits had insinuated themselves with so many people I intersected with that I often ended up at the same place with them.
Unintelligent people are tolerable when they know their place.

They are annoying. I hate that the dumb don't respect the intelligent.

Depends on if I have to rely on them. 8 hate my dad for being dumb because it fucks my life up too. But a noob on a game or some random person I don't care. And I might help them out of pity or to see if they have potential to be smart. But I really hate my parents for being dumb.
