As the renowned king of having nothing better to do, I've been on a lot of websites with a high female presence where no pics/videos of your face are needed, and you can still talk 1 on 1 with girls. Some examples are Chatango, kik and Steam. Of course you need to spam every girl's private messages until one eventually responds, but I've done this a few times and gotten nudes from girls just from talking to her for a few months never once showing my face. It's the only way incels like us can feel like Chad for a split second.

Agreed, but I think 2007 was the sweet spot.

Smartphones, Facebook and social media in general made both internet and real life much worse.

Also here in Brazil "internet crimes" only became a relevant thing after that year. Before 2008 Brazilian internet was pretty much the Wild West.
