No, while autism does affect looks and how you are perceived it also has significant unrelated effects.

Yes I've met plenty of autists in my life and it's always obvious. No matter how much they try to blend in there's always subtle signs that give it away. I usually get along a lot better with autists, I feel more at ease around them.

Not in the modern sense. There were plenty of people throughout history who had some quirks, were introverted, were fixated on specific things. Autism before was used on people who were mentally challenged
