Do you actually enjoy turn based battle systems

Sometimes they're truly exciting and gripping, you can feel the sense of danger when the enemy suddenly pulls out bs you don't know and you gotta give your all with the most effective way to deal with the situation. But most of the time 90% of them make me fall asleep especially when it's too generic, flashy and fantasy like. Some of them can be clever and unique takes, that's what I enjoy about it sometimes.

If there's a twist to them such as strategy rpgs or combat systems like in the conception games or Chrono trigger. Otherwise, not really. If it's basic like dragon quest or final fantasy it puts me to sleep.

I do generally, I dont like it when regular encounter drags on like in legend of games, so you shut off your brain. Legend of dragoon and Chrono Cross, The last odyssey, had a great turn based battle.

Yes but I only really like the ones that let me customize my party anyway I want. FF3 and alliance alive are some examples.
