Discussion Do suicide bombers experience pain?

I always wondered it. Apparently suicide bombers at Paris used TATP, roughly 1.5kg worth attached to their vests.

Does it hurt? Is it painless? Is it just flash and out due to vast amounts of pressure or what? There are people who claim that it's painless cause of the pressure.

Looks like a risky move to pull off, I wouldn't dare to go out that way cause I prefer a method that guarantees a painless death.

TATP or 'Mère de Satan' is very unstable, more than that is very risky that it could go off according to experts I've heard. That's why I'm skeptical, cause if you can't use much, then there is a chance you will still be conscious. Takes guts to do though

Then you have to pick something else if you want guarantee in Terms of explosives for instant death, cause acetonperoxide in big amounts is risky. Usually 1kg is what they deal with max 1.5

I though about this when I saw a video of a jihadi being shot in a battlefield and (somewhat) slowly bleeding out. Even if it would hurt, the pain wouldn't be prolonged. Why worry about some ephemeral pain when heaven is waiting? It could even be ecstatic, as the blood leaves your body, you're finally being freed from mundane torment... death, under certain circumstances, must feel like a warm embrace

I don’t think they feel any pain. The shockwave stuns your system right away before any of the other things hit and if you have enough explosive there is not even anything to process that pain.

I would do it if I knew for sure that there would be instant death cause of the pressure, similar to that oceangate explosion. The problem is that I saw failed suicide bombers with severed bodies, so that scarred me mentally. I find it too risky, then your life is in someone else's hands and they'll keep you alive unwillingly. Best is to go out in a less loud way, though you want it bad, cause you just hate this world and its values, you want to leave a statement behind that you seperate yourself from this world and you want nothing to do with it nor human nature. You fight back, cause going out silently in your room, people will think you gave up.

i mean the human head survive like 20 seconds after being separated from the body (guillotine for example) but i assume the explosive would tear their entire body including the head instantly so no i dont think so

I know nothing about chemistry, but I have seen enough Ukraine drone footage of people being split in two still alive from 2 kg payloads of explosives. So I doubt that dying through suicide vest is painless.

I won´t delete anything, and matter of fact: if feds think discussing this is ´risky profile´, honestly, they should test themselves for paranoid personality disorder and autism. They can´t ever approach a situation with nuance.
