Well, it's interesting how the American approach to service contains a lot more hovering, fake smiling and small talk; a result of U.S. tipping culture where servers need to "insert" themselves into the experience as much as possible.
I know that some Americans consider French service to be rude for the reason that Europeans don't always bother with much of that. I've been served by Stacies who were cold and distant but were attentive and detail-oriented; frequently scraping crumbs from the tablecloth, refilling my glass if it gets below three-quarters full, etc.
To OP: I've never found inceldom to be the reason behind good/bad service. The type of establishment, the time of day, the staff-to-customer ratio is a more reliable variable tbh.
I can actually think of a dozen times over the past year where I've had great service from Stacies, and only one time where I was ignored. I was grabbing breakfast at a hotel in Knightsbridge and my Stacy server was nowhere to be found for 15 minutes when I tried to pay the bill, so I walked out because I really couldn't be late for an event at the Turkish embassy nearby. I called the manager as I was leaving to say that I'd pay the bill when I returned. He was really apologetic later that day.

Ngl I always get ignored by stacy waitresses, only a few weeks ago I was eating at pizza hut, a waitress went round to all the tables asking if they're ok or need something, except mine. She didn't even look at me.
