It seems hundreds or thousands of years ago, humanity had witnessed the greatest inventions and contributions in math, science, art, culture etc but why haven't we been able to progress more? How did we go from the beautiful medieval architecture to shitty corporate slop? How did we go from Wagnerian classical music to rap "music"?
