Nightmare city to live in: so much noise, so many people, so much chaos, so many schizophrenics yelling and trying to fight people on the streets, almost a weekly occurrence, such palpable loneliness and hostility you can feel by just looking at people’s eyes, you would probably go insane in all honesty by just living here long enough.

I always have to look down when I walk and wear headphones everywhere just so it can at least be bearable.

Maybe the NT's are the ones that aren't normal. If you think about it there must be something wrong with you if you can adapt to living in such an unnatural environment. If you are non-NT and have problems because of your living conditions they'll consider you to be the one with a disorder and give you mind-altering drugs to lessen the effects. But you are considered "normal" if you can live in a disgusting human hive bombarded with noise and stimuli every waking moment and function well.
Most of the problems associated with Autism are only problems because of modern industrial society. Being more sensitive to stimulus or not being able to socialise well wouldn't matter if you were living in a small rural community, as humans did for most of our history.
