No. Some of them would claim they do, but the truth is, it's merely a superficial level of understanding.
 
Yes they do. The same way they claim to be depressed introverts or into philosophy. Only superficially. They also tend to be very vocal about it online to garner attention and sympathy.
 
They actually are oblivious.

I thought it was a cliche from the internet, but after I talked of my struggles IRL, they really really are oblivious.
 
I noticed it’s all surface level with normies, depression for them is like melancholy for us
