Money can help as leverage, and even social status like in India with the Caste system, it can really help, but looks do play a part because, if you are good-looking, then you inherently have higher status. Bonus points if you benefit from JBW in an eastern or latin american country. If before the 1980s, a sub-5 would still win, but now, it's over.

Yes as third world countries cannot subsidize women's hypergamy anywhere to the degree developed nations do. Betabuxx does not really work much in the developed world as many of them get bullshit make work gov jobs and state subsidies.

Yes, for many reasons:

- Conservative culture where sluts are shamed, even beaten by relatives. The threat of violence HUGELY disuades women from whoring around.
- No NEETbuxx. While this sucks for men, on the flip side it means that single mothers and "femcels" can't leech off the state. Either work or marry.
- Close familial structures that encourage foids to date/marry within their social circles. Arranged marriage and "buying foids" still exists in many countries.

None of this guarantees a gf, but these factors make it SIGNIFICANTLY more likely when compared to the first world. Many first gen immigrants got fucked over by their parents; life would have been better for them back home, even if less luxurious.
