We really don't know, to date. Cosmos is immeasurably vast with billions of planets, which makes difficult to explore the universe properly; therefore, without checking all the planets, we can't say anything with fullest certainty.

Just imagine a solar system where even light takes 2-3 years to reach, in spite of travelling 300,000 m/s, how much time it will take for us to reach there and check its planets if they have life(btw, Voyager-1 hasn't yet crossed our solar system despite being the most further travelling man made spacecraft till date and was launched more 40 years ago).

Right now, we are relied almost entirely upon various waves which haven't found anything substantial in this regard yet.

But who knows tbh, they definitely don't exist in this reality and if they are real than you would have to believe in different realms and different dimensions.

There's also the idea that the world is bigger than what is presented and we only see what we are allowed to see.

Given the vastness of the universe, there probably is life elsewhere, or was eons ago, or will be eons from now. This life may or may not look like life on this planet (humans or even bacteria), and even if it were kinda humanoid, they probably didn't invent flying saucers and aren't flying around in space looking for other life forms like them. The alien life that did/do/will exist is probably not that interesting, aside from the fact that it's from another planet.
