As someone whose last gaming devices were a PS2 and an nvidia gt 740m laptop I need disclosure on the whole pc/console debate. Which is better and why. I know that pc has better performance but then why do consoles sell? Is it because of the cost or hassle?

Furthermore does the better performance in pc justifiable. I mean, are the graphics really that better

PC is better if you have the money to afford the minimum specs that mogs a console.

A lot has changed in console gaming since the ps2. I have ps5 and it gets the job done. I can play the latest games at 1440p with 120fps, listen to music with Spotify, watch YouTube and Netflix and use discord

If you can afford building 1500 dollar PC then it's worth it.

I thought ps5 were capped at 30fps. And anons here say that 60fps matters.

PC can do that better, plus mods

Such petty bullshit. Play the damn game.

"if it ain't Broke don't Fix it":feelsEhh:

Consoles sell because they're simple and many people don't want to bother with PC which will always require some tinkering and know how. I believe it's also because it's what people are used to as PC gaming used to be a real hassle to keep with up, and that isn't true anymore.

If you have the money to build a good gaming PC and aren't intimidated by the learning curve necessary, it's absolutely the better choice.

PC is objectively superior.

Consoles are cheaper and provide an acceptable experience and are far easier more convenient to be able to do couch or laying on your bed gaming with.

Sure you can do that with a PC as well but only if you buy a small form factor gaming PC that can fit in your TV entertainment center stand or you’ve bought a laptop as even though you could put a monsterous gaming PC tower rig in your bedroom or living room and hook it up to your OLED or whatever HD TV via HDMI input and cables most people aren’t going to want to do that.

Also if you’re a game collector into physical editions of things well you may be able to easily pirate and or emulate for example Switch games but unless you literally buy the little cartridges you obviously won’t be able to collect physical unless you collect physical etc, etc.

I recommend a PC because piracy is easy on PC and it has a huge game selection, you can also emulate console games on it and even use your console game controller on the PC with a "converter" cable. If you want to try many different games then pirating/emulating them on PC will earn back the money you would otherwise spend on console games quickly.

Piracy is a big reason. It's great having every game on lots of consoles stored on a hard drive that I can play at any time, and it was at zero cost. You can do much of that on console too, but it's not as simple.

It's beucase of convince, ingnorance and tech illiterate, console players like plug and they dont know what fps or resolution the game us running so they assume thier console are ruinng games at max setting 4k, and tech illiterate since they think thier 500 box with custom high end apu will beat a dedcated gpu,cpu and out last it

I have a Nintendo Switch, PS4, Vita and PS3. PC mogs the hell out of all of them, free online, mods, nudity and porn in games and more. My PC is outdated by today's standards but it can still play most games well and I don't care about AAA slop, so in my opinion my PC mogs consoles.

It's funny though because I used to be a console peasant back in the PS3 era calling PC gamers fat neckbeards and now I'm one of them (except being fat and having a neckbeard).

I have both, if you have the money get a pc, it not then get the latest console. You can't build a pc for the same price and performance of a ps5 or xbox sx

Not even that frankly, I'd still rather have a budget build than a console. The mere fact that I don't have to pay for MP is good enough as is, combined with the fact that piracy and emulation is way easier justifies one over a console imho. Also helps that more and more console exclusives are coming over to the PC.

I have barely touched my consoles since I built a pc

Same, once I finally built a capable gaming PC. I only touched consoles after that because of one exclusive game, and even that I had to cut out.

They sell because 50% of the people are low iq retards that keep inventing new excuses why they are low iq lazy retards. You can build a 2nd hand pc for less than a cucksoles. I have pc with better specs than PS5 and yet it was cheaper than that console. You can easily build a stronger PC than PS5 Pro with 2nd hand rx 6800 xt + i7 12700k. For consoles you also need to pay monthly sub to play online and also better 4k TV and that shit is expensive.

11:11. Manifest your dream.

Trophy hunting feels better for me on Playstation compared to PC because it has a platinum trophy also I love bloodborne

Which is better and why.
Why PC is better:
Modularity - Can build pc now and still use your old CPU+RAM+SSD+HDD+mkb+screen on your new PC you just need to replace the weakest part in my case it's the GPU
Cheaper - when buying used parts
Free Online - play anything for free
Customization & Modding - You can modify anything you want about your PC, don't like parts of windows? Then modify it with tools, don't like windows? Install Linux, don't like how game looks or plays? You can change it to however you want. You can also easily AI upscale textures in games especially ones that use emulators.
Emulation - can emulate anything from NES to Switch/PS3/XB360 or even we are seeing PS4 and XB1 emulation
Overclocking - free performance boost you don't need to buy PS5Pro to overclock your CPU by 350mhz you can do it yourself i have my i7 12700k at 5ghz Pcore/4ghz Ecore at low voltage of 1.22v so less heat and less wattage needed to power that beast of cpu and i didn't need to ask jews if they could do it for me for $699
Backward combability - can play almost anything from 90s and 00s on a modern system there are a lot of people that love making games playable for free https://www.magipack.games/p/games-list.html You don't need to beg for remasters or remakes
Way more unique games to play - you not only get to play AAA games and indies that are on cucksoles but also crazy games like Dohna Dohna (better than Persona 5) that would never launch on any consoles
Piracy and cheaper games - self explained

PS5 PRO (more like poor) cpu is so weak that it's not even showing their performance on a graph it's even weaker than ancient desktop r7 3700x (4.4ghz boost vs laughable 3.85ghz boost of ps5p), and my 2nd hand i7 12700k mogs it so damn hard that it's not even funny it's like being a PS6 and looking at the xbox 360 :feelskek:

Pretty sure the ps4 was on most games but the ps5 plays comfortably on 120
Thats on old games like resident evil 4 made for ps4 you tech illiterate run at 120 fps

You dont need 1,500 that is over kill all you need is 500 then after rtx 5000 comes out price drop will happen for older gpu and cpu are cheap

These people are tinkering with different modes on ps5 pro the iorny is so rich

have you seen how demanding modern games are? Budget PC is a joke even for 1080p monitor

PC is better because its upgradable, simpler and costs less. JFL the second two used to be pros for the console, but nowadays consoles cant be jailbroken.

I have a PS Vita, barely use it as PC has most those games in better graphics. I bought it to use it for remoteplay.

Pc does cost less it depends what game you want to play and what resolution you want it to be for example ps5 pro performance runs Alan wake 2 at 800p and quietly mode at 2176 x 1224 but the game is being upscaled to 4k and you can buy used GPU or cpu to cut down the cost

DLSS does the same thing. If you use a 3060 to play at 4K you are likely most of the time running it natively at 720p and generating frames with artifacts on the fly

console is a luxury product for casual gaming sitting on the couch on big screen

There are only 2 rational reasons to prefer PC to console:

1- You live with your family and they are going to complain if you play on the TV (playing console on a monitor is a retard move)
2- You pirate games so you play on PC for free games

Both have been true in my case so I have never owned a console. Also some "PC master race propaganda" + my unconditional love for computers.
But if today I had to choose between a PC and a console and I didn't have the above limitations I would definitely go for a console. They are more hassle-free and playing on a big screen is very nice. Most importantly you can change your position while playing and avoid damaging your back (I have bulged disks).
