No they have good genetics which preserves their joints, enable explosive power from fast twitch muscle fibers.Good athletes are merely just fit.
The oly style lifts works out your posterior chain the most and whats even better is that they're full range of motion.
How heavy did you go in your lifts?You wanna really avoid powerlifting if youre training for athleticism and power (which is ironic since it's called power lifting).
