Since am in the UK, crime has increased a lot and these roadman thug wannabes going around robbing and stabbing. Legit don't feel safe outside, sometimes end up carrying my 3inch.

Certain areas I would never venture into even in daytime. You need to be aware of your surroundings and keep a low profile especially at night
Sucks to be in your area. It's important to know the law in this case. For example, where I lived, blades longer than 3.5 inches were not allowed. So, I had a 3 inch blade. I've never had to use it to actually harm someone, but I've had to pull it out to dissuade someone from mugging me or attacking me. Sometimes, they pull out a blade and use it for intimidation, but once you pull out yours, they know that they won't get out of the situation without some damage so a wallet may not be worth it, and it's better to find a more timid and less prepared target. Find out what you can carry and then carry that.

Problem is many cities are extremely cucked and led by communists so they pass laws so law abiding citizens cannot carry weapons but ofc criminals don't care
The law here states it has to be under 3 inches and can't be lockable blade, also if police find it on you, you have to say its for work or whatver. Never say self defence
