That's my thought. Survival of the fittest not the most handsome. Although women wanted to breed with good Gene's if the incel was smarter and stronger than his goodlooking counterpart the woman was his unless Chad got a chance to kill him

If we're talking neolithic times with early agriculture, there were still Chads who had all the land and surrounded themselves with harems. Most men were incels. Ice Age period, women got whatever man was willing to protect her while screwing Chad behind her beta providers' backs.

It is likely this happened in a time when agriculture was already established and attraction to being strong etc. was already an outdated relict of hunter gatherer society by that time.
