Strong parent are usually high at dominance hierarchy so they were less likely to be bullied and taken advantage at school and at work. They usually project their aggression outside ( because they can ) than inside [their family].

Weak parents were probably often humiliated, bullied and taken advantage by their peers and coworkers. And due to multiple factors ( like low status, physical weakness, mental illnesses, weak character ) they rarely fight back.
So they transfer all this accumulated anger inside them to their own family making their children's life hell.
They use their children and sometimes other family members as an emotional trash can.
Being a trash can in which others drain their anger, disappointment, dissatisfaction, negativeness is a much worse than being an emotional tampon.

you're treated badly by your own parents, then you get bullied at school and when you're around age of 16-18 and you're dropping out of college/university and being isolated from society, then these very parents are telling you "oh why are you like that?" "Why are you so weak and depressed? Look around, all of your peers are already having girlfriends, they work, they're doing well in life unlike you" "When i was 15 year old i was already having plenty of sex unlike you virgin loser"

Unfortunately my mother was treated like shit by my father, who may be rich, but is an absolute POS. Nobody likes my father, both his parents died unforgiving of him. My father has driven my mother to a point of BPD and anxiety. It has become insufferable. Just the cherry on top is I managed to somehow get bad genes from both of them. Life is hell.

Bully, overly angry, controlling parents (especially father) is a sign of weakness. It makes the son grow up to be shy, emotionally and socially stunted and afraid. This son won't experience teen love nor be able to run JBF game. He's already very behind his peers.
