I keep hearing bread is bad for you.

For all users coping with diet, what would you recommend not to take?

Slim down to become skinny.

I'm boreding on normal BMI to slightly overweight.
 
Any grains, like crackers, bread, cereals and fried foods are the worst. All seed oils and acrylamides.
 
Basically everything that has carbohydrates
Fruits are ok tho

Eat less calories than you expend. Reduce your food a bit until you're losing 0.5kg (1lb) a week.
 
avoid seed oils (they’re everywhere) they will store up in your body and it will be very difficult to get rid of them

I eat max two times a day, and drink a ton of beer. Always was slim. Cut the beer part out. Cut snacks in between, only within actual eating times and stick to it. Balanced diet. Not too much carbs, not too much meat, not too much veggies. Just a mix of these and you're good. Forget processed foods, or cut it at least - cook only at home. Nothing wrong with grain food like lentils btw. even if some users want to tell you here something different.
