Honestly my parents were always pretty chill and even when they knew I was a bronycel they didn't bother me much about it, in the begining they said "you really like that?" but they didn't shame me, said faggot shit (Falling Down reference kek) or were seriously concerned about me (I was 13/14 btw at that time). But I've read so many stories of parents bullying and shaming their sons just because they like videogames, anime, cartoons and other hobbies that are considered immature and unproductive.

Same tbh, they only really cared because it made them look good if I succeeded. They used to drive me across the country (~3hrs max jfl) to piano competitions just to berate me for not winning
