For me no I was stuck with 16+ games until I was around 12-13 when they finally allowed some 18+ games for me to play.

Same as you tbh when I was younger they wouldn't let me play those. So I still did but just when they weren't looking (I played lots of San Andreas late at night when they were sleeping) or at my friend's housek kek. Then at 12 they realized that violent videogames don't cause real life violence and said I could play any game.

Yes and movies I wasn't allowed to watch if I wasn't over the correct age, I wasn't allowed to watch certain TV shows which were popular with kids at school because they were past my bedtime and I had curfews which were hilariously early compared to my peers which is probably why I hate giving myself a bedtime now.

As long as it had no sexual content, my mom never cared. Only when I have bad grade did she take everything away, beat me, berate me, called me animal at some point.

We didn't have porn games, but I played Doom and Wolfenstein 3D as a child. But it was disturbing, all the blood. I liked the gameplay but did not want to see the bloody face.
They didn't care of the advised age since they saw that a spider man game was way above my age which made no sense. But they still forbid me to play very graphic game until I was a teenager
For the most part, yes. They were fine with me playing mature games that have a fantasy setting. But they still had some reservations about me playing gritty games like GTA and Manhunt.

After gamecube came out, they didnt let me play any video games and even on that, I was only allowed to play Monkeyball and ATV 2 quad power racing.
