Look at historical heights. Only in the past 100 years have humans jumped so significantly in height and that's mostly in the West due to higher abundance of food. Look at all the poorer shit holes. Average height is always lower aside from maybe pure African haven't-left-the-safari negroids.

200 years ago, the average European was very short. The famous German poet Goethe, born in 1749, was only 5'4'" and was considered slightly above average in terms of height. So everyone has been growing taller, it's just that the East Asians grow taller faster than everybody else. It's not surprising, since they used to be midgets.

It came with globalism/urbanization. In the past people who lived in an area together, who where in the same community had a more similar gene pool. People stayed in the area they were born. No foreign genes. No imported food products. You ate the same thing like everyone else who has your status. Which resulted in more similar heights of the male population.
