Did people ignore you at group projects/debates at school?

I remember it and it was awful. Everytime we had to debate in class or do group projects I tried to participate at least a bit so the teacher would think I'm interested and get a good grade, but my classmates just ignored me when I said anything kek. It didn't matter it was important or not, I was just ignored like if I didn't say anything, they kept talking about their things or in the "best" cases they would say "yeah right right we add that later".

In university I don't have to experience that anymore because I don't have group projects or if I have them I can just work without saying a word because the teacher doesn't care.

Yes unfortunately. It was like you said, no one cares what you say and everyone ingores you. And then later someone else has the same idea (either hears it from me or comes up with it by himself because he didn't even pay attention to whay I said) and says it later and then everyone says "Wow, what an awesome idea!" (not really, but you get my point).
