When I was 18 years old I was severely depressed and I was very close to roping at that point in my life, it wasn't until I started lifting at the age of 20 I noticed that my mood became much better and I almost never get depressed, and I hear a lot of men say that going to the gym saved their life.

No it just gave me physical pain

Used to do that whilst watching hamza videos :feelsjuice:

Hard to say. It's possible things would be worse if I never dedicated time to exercise,

Gym is cope. Running is better

No but creepshotting did

Its hard to say but I think it did probably reduce stress.

In my experience HIIT did help with depression a little bit. I would notice myself laughing more often after starting HIIT. It didn't do miracles but it was okay.

The best thing in my experience for depression is daily meditation though, for at least 10 minutes. It will take time to notice the difference but it will eventually come.

Sort of...but after awhile, that wore off, and now I am just a jacked incel. :feelsbadman:

I like it... gym atleast feels good sometimes, running is just constant torment and pain. A trvecel masochist

Yes

Do you get runner’s high?
Not every run - but let’s say a hard session or a long run, yes, especially a long run. Dont think the gym endorphins have ever come close to this for me

Yes, running outdoors.
But that's not gym

Nope still feel like shit. But the time I spent there is better than being at home with intrusive thoughts.

I think the gym is helpful because it gives you something to work towards and anyone can progress at it if they put in the effort.

It’s not like school or learning a new skill. If you have a low IQ you will suck at that stuff no matter how much you try.

I recently joined again, after a long time off.

Weights + half hour of cardio gave me a boost for a couple hours after, but thats about it. Its not a permanent solution.

Mainly went back cause my body feels like shit and im only in my 30s.

Helps with anger management, less so with depression.

This post gives me motivation to finally start exercising.

a little bit. like 5%. its not much but its better than nothing. it also makes you feel slightly less subhuman and gets you out of the house.

Sometimes it did and sometimes it didn't.

as for depression no

i don't have depression

as a cope no

When I consistently made myself go to the gym in the past, I was honestly more miserable. I don't want to force myself into such a public place. I find gym work to be uncomfortable (I often would notice myself feeling hot, notice imbalance, notice points of discomfort with my clothes that frequently would ruin my set). The gym I went to was too noisy and lacked privacy as well. A home gym would fix most of these issues, but I feel miserable going to public gyms. The exercise made me feel perhaps marginally better, so it wasn't worth it.

it helps for a little bit but ultimately I still feel like shit in the end. I just dont think the effort i put in the gym was rewarding enough

How the fuck do I go to gym if I wake up already tired?

yeah, I like the peace and privacy of my home gym, but you don't have all the equipment of a regular commercial gym, which is the main downside.

I'd choose rot any of the week

Gym lowers my cortisol since I secretly capture picture of fat ass women and jerk off with that when I went home, some has a boyfriend and they workout together so I lowkey imagine raping her infront of him for extra satisfying

When I was young, yes. Because it made me look better.

Now I'm old and obese and my body and skin are destroyed, no. It's depressing as it makes me hyper-conscious of my body and I'm too depressed to work out now.
