Discussion Did COVID lockdowns exacerbate most incel issues?

Incels were certainly a problem beforehand, but it seems like most incels and incel buzz came about almost directly after COVID lockdowns ended.
Perhaps the prolonged social isolation pushed many men to deteriorate socially, thereby pushing more 4s and 5s into inceldom due to emergent socialization issues?
It could also be that the mass exodus from real life for many women caused them to be chronically online and accelerate the hypergamy due to Tinder chadsurfing and warped social media representations of men?
Or perhaps the isolation period allowed many men and women alike to familiarise reclusive lifestyles, meaning they are less likely to expend energy in sustained relationships, and prefer hookups?

For me I can certainly say it to be the case. The COVID lockdowns worsened my already retarded Non-NT socialisation capabilities to the point where I am utterly hopeless even if I looksmaxx. Furthermore society just seems colder and more competitive post-COVID.

i agree with the posts in this thread;
but i'd like to add, all that forced isolation did a work on normies that they get to have a taste of incel-tier isolation for first time in their lives and it frightened them up a lot - and in most cases it gave a boost of normies getting familiar to incel things by virtues of internet; that resulted in further stigmatization of us because once the things improved most of them were back in their lives but that mini-trauma they got to face made them ever resenting of us - even though we as a group had little to no contribution in their suffering

they might have developed a little...fear of being us, and it shows a lot in all the post-covid era "chuds" to outright "incel" attacks by them across various online communities - before that all it used to be "r/niceguy" kind of jibe afaik.

also i'd like to add, Covid lockdowns and all happened in same era of Trump vs Biden; that had its own sort of effects-after effects on plethora of people
