I’ve used to have a lot of friends as a kid. I recall being somewhat of a “leader” as a child, organizing others in games and connecting to people easily. I was a very good looking boy too. This continued until I was 9, I still had friends, they still treated me as an equal until suddenly a shift in behavior changed. Friends became more distant, more judgmental. Soon enough it ended either me being the laughing stock. I was mocked for being dumb and lesser than them. I recall my face getting longer, more asymmetrical in the mirror each time I went to wash my hands in the school bathrooms. Soon enough, a little over a year i found myself to look unrecognizable. Classes became more difficult, I was no longer scoring high in class quizzes. Instead of being adored I was just tolerated and pitied receiving looks of disappointment from teachers and adults alike, even some classmates of mine as well . I’m curious if anyone else has dealt with this or know of any causes?

It seems like it may have been that way for me as well. By seventh grade I looked like a goblin. What was your case?

It’s funny too. I have an identical twin. Not only did he not suffer from cognitive degradation but his face is physically wider and shorter than mine. Women literally go up to him and ask for his number.

I just got a bit slower after starting drinking with 20.

How could you tell?
I am not as sharp as i used to be cognitively. I sometimes have trouble finding the exact word i am looking for, experience more often brain fog,i struggle to concentrate as good as i used to when i am reading a book sometimes - have to read a paragraph two times to make it stick. Math skills stayed unchanged as i can tell though. Pretty sure some of that is reversible. But yeah, constant drinking will hurt your frontal lobe in every case after prolonged drinking. The thing just isn't as fast as it used to be really.
