So it’s summer. It’s almost 90 degrees out. My daughter is wearing bike shorts (that are fairly short) and a tank top. She was next door, playing with their three kids, a 6 year old girl and 5 and 8 year old boys. Their mom texted me, saying that she told my daughter to go home and put shorts on because she can’t play in her underwear at their house. I texted back, saying that’s strange, she was wearing shorts when she left home. She texted back that she’s fine with my daughter playing with her daughter “like that “ but wants “limits for the boys.” I told her I’m fine with the shorts, but my daughter will play at home if she doesn’t like them.

I normally have a good relationship with this neighbor, but I’m kinda pissed right now. I feel like she is sexualizing my daughter who, again, is SIX.
