Trial and error level design is not good. It's not clever. It's nothing but a waste of time. The game isn't actually that challenging. It's just annoying. Uninstalled. Glad I only pirated it. If I want an actual hard game I'll play Monster Hunter on G rank or Castlevania.

skill issue lmao
Dark Souls doesn't take skill. Go play an actual skill based game like pre World Monster Hunter on G rank

You lost credibility when u said u found DMC3 boring and referred to Lady as "the asian".

Just get the dark knights halberd and max it out puts the game on easy mode and you can do the arrow glitch for infinite souls

“Trial and error level design” just don’t go rushing in like a headless chicken and you’ll be good to go.

I wouldn't call them bad but I've never actually finished one because I get bored halfway and take a break and then never return to it, so that probably says something. I don't mind trial and error gameplay but there are better games that pull this off than Dark Souls. Dark Souls is only popular because it's one of the only actually punishing games that a lot of normies have ever played.

Based. @Solid State, what do you think?

I have never played any of the Dark Souls games so I have only seen videos of them. This is because of the limitations of having older computers and I was never much of a console gamer for gen V and beyond.

I do like the monster designs of some of the enemies, though.

What kind of computer do you have?

I no longer have a working one. It was a PC the maintenance guy who lives in our apartment complex said I could have as he found it in the storage room downstairs and it was ten years old.

I am a phone-poster until I can afford a new PC as I want to build a decent one and I despise Windows 11.

First bad opinion dark souls level design is peak

Feel the same about sekiro. Just die 100 times and memorize boss' complete moveset bro. Ik Ik you don't need to master the movesets of all bosses but the 3 main bosses needs to be learned. I have never played any dark souls games but i am guessing it's gonna be similar.

I only liked the first one and Bloodborne

Or Zweihander to stun 90% of enemies with each hit from a safe distance

Can you sl1 hitless the game on NG+7 easily then?
The only reason you enjoy dark souls is to brag online about it beating it. I'm not wasting my time to impress others

You make threads like this all the time and then have the audicity to say that im too negative.

No i dont want to start beef, just pointing out facts

You say the game takes 0 skill and that is easy to refute. if you mean to say that the dificulty feels forced or artificial, that is other thing.

And no, i don't have friends or social media so i don't need to brag , i just enjoyed it in general (there are some bullshit parts tho) because combat system, music and ambientation, and yes, dificulty. I remember Zelda Twilight to be fun but also to be baby easy and very few moments i felt fear of dying, and Dark Souls's dificulty felt like a great improvement, despite the bad story telling.

that also applies to every other game have you heard of challenge runs and speedruns? platinums? fuck you on about? jfl

I love the franchise, and I consider it to be a massive inspiration of mine. But the games are as hard as you make them. You could have an easy run specing into strength and vigor, just holding shield. Or you can spec into another build. The difficulty is dependent on you.

If you think darksouls is skill youre retarded

Can you beat Dark Souls without dying a single time? Can you do that on SL1 and NG+7? Of course not, and i can't either, because the game is hard.

Some players CAN do it while we don't, so yes, it requires skill and it's in some way skill based.

levelp hp will make the game less hard since you will be to tank more hits

you do realize you will be doing the same with sekiro on different diffcult games that are hard unless it allows multiplayer

pre monster hunter world g rank is literally trail and error with in end game with apex,lv 140 quest in 4u,dievant monster and hyper monster in generation

i uninstalled the game like 10 times with how much i was hating dying a lot, but i always came back and finally completed it and turned into one of my favorite games. The thing that made me finally enjoy it mostly was playing on easy mode (Using Zweihander ultra great sword), and realizing how important was rolling for the inmunity frames it has, and that you can use humanity to summon npcs or players to carry you on bosses, and to increase the number of healing (Estus) on any bonfire.

I won't deny the game was some bullshit areas tho, like Crystal cave, Tomb of giant and Bed of Chaos boss, where the dificulty is mostly don't falling or lack of vision.

The genre just wasn't for me. I bought it on an impulse without doing any research.
