Their focus was never on discrete GPUs because they knew it would be a futile affair to compete against NVIDIA which is lightyears ahead of themselves. NVIDIA is the only true GPU manufacturer today that's pushing the boundaries of graphics computing. No one else comes even close. Can't wait for RTX 9090 for real time path tracing!
