IRR COMPLETED DOCUMENT

Human Trafficking is a world wide issue that many countries are struggling with till this day. Human trafficking became a political issue in the early 1900’s however Human trafficking has been around for thousands of years with women and children being the main targets for traffickers. Many acts have been put into place in order to prevent human trafficking from happening and have seemed to have very little effect in swaying traffickers. Some of the earliest include “ the International Agreement for the Suppression of the White Slave Traffic” which attempted to stop the procuraction of women and was ratified by quite a few countries. Another was the Mann act which was drafted by the United States which made all types of trafficking illegal and punishable by law in every state. Even with these acts in place human trafficking hasn’t decreased, and in fact remains one of the biggest and lucrative criminal businesses till this very day. With some victims even being sold by their own families for money. Millions of vulnerable people are kidnapped and sold into these trafficking rings and it is estimated that there are some 29.4 billion human trafficking victims globally. This essay will cover how it can be prevented and cover some misconceptions about human trafficking.
Misconceptions

A known misconception is that human trafficking only affects 3rd world or under developed and or corrupt countries, however this is not the case. Countries like the United States deal with an estimated 14,500 to 17,500 cases each year with people being trafficked. And along with china which comes in second for most human trafficking victims with an estimated 3.2 million victims. Another misconception is that the victims of human trafficking are poor aliens from other countries. This is a lot of times just not the case. There are just as many cases with aliens as there are with non aliens if not more. And it is more cost effective to not ship foreign aliens anyways. And one of the biggest misconceptions about human trafficking is that people are only trafficked for sex which is a big reason why people are trafficked, but this is not the case. People are trafficked for many things like slavery or to be held as hostage and or for ransom. As well as just to be sold to someone else for whatever reason the buyer wants the victim for.

Victims being unable to find help.

Victims of human trafficking are not able to find help most of the time. They cannot seek help in public or call the correct authorities for many reasons. Either because their captors will not be caught for their actions due to their position of power and will retaliate. Or because victims just have nowhere to go as they are in a land unfamiliar to them and so it would be best to obey. Or the last reason is that victims are isolated and kept inside and treated like animals and have no way to contact the outside world anyways. However they may also be able to get help but choose not to because of the shame and stigma they will receive.

Recovery of victims.

A majority of human trafficking victims do not recover in the way that we would want them to. Victims usually develop anxiety disorders along with PTSD, and depression and a whole plethora of mental illnesses. Freed victims are left with suicidal thoughts and often time hurt themselves and 23 percent of all victims have attempted suicide.

Targets.

Targets are usually people whom we could call societies liabilities, as the main targets are usually run away teens, prostitutes, homeless, refugees, immigrants of lower class, women, children, disabled people, and more. These are people whom cannot defend themselves all that well and are easy targets to be picked up by traffickers due to this fact. As well as people that society doesn’t care about and just burdens in general.

Suspects.
The main suspects of human trafficking cannot be narrowed down to any type or group of people. Suspects can be family members of a victim or the average person. Although the worst incidents andforms of human trafficking come from gang members or those who are associated with criminal groups of interest like cartels and even still there is no way to tell.

How people get caught up in these traps in the first place.
Human trafficking victims usually end up in rings or being sold because they were in a time of vulnerability like were in need of a new job. Or the victim was outside a lot in shady areas, like a runaway child or a prostitute. Or someone who just wasn’t paying a whole lot of attention to their surroundings and the traffickers got the jump on them. Or a victim was easily tricked by some other type of mean used by the kidnappers. It happens either because of ignorance or because the victim is an easy target, in need or not.

Human Trafficking is caused by political factors.

Human trafficking is caused by political factors. Human trafficking if anything is merely the strong taking advantage of the “weak” of society. The most common victims are vulnerable people whom need government assistance and without any delay. These people are taken advantage of because of their standing in a society mainly driven by politics and the good of all human beings. Ones that function in society properly that is. And in order to solve human trafficking we must first figure out how to help the people who need our assistance the most. We should have stricter curfew laws to get people off of the streets, solve a plethora of issues having to do with poverty to make it harder for victims to be caught. We should make people more aware of human trafficking because of the simple tricks people fall for. The government merely isn’t doing enough to help these people in the first place. And this goes for all countries in which human trafficking is rampent. And while this won’t solve the problem fully and extinguish human trafficking, the amount of victims will derease immensely.

The humanitarian issue argument.

The humanitarian issue argument is one which states that human trafficking of course is a humanitarian issue, rather than a political one. It states that lack of proper health care, and absence of social programs similar to that of welfare and TANF (Temporary Assistance For Needy Families) as well as financial aid are not abundant enough in certain countries in which human trafficking is rampent such as Africa. However this argument makes no sense, as the humanitarian field as you could call it, is in direct ties with the government and humanitarian social programs are funded and fueled by the government. It is the government that isn’t doing diligence, not the humanitarian field. After all, how can the humanitarian field do anything without the government?

Summary.

Human trafficking is a rampent issue within many countries and can be defined as the strong praying on the weak as victims are usually people in severe need. Homeless, runaways, prostitutes, immigrants, ect. We need to give these people some sort of stability in their lives with the help of the government and humanitarian aid programs as the government isn’t doing enough to help these people in their times of need making them easy victims for traffickers.

Nope, have you ever seen a reverse image search it works about the same

Yeah, it does focus on articles, but it would still do some search around the rest of the web.

But don't worry the web is big unless they're using a good third party system or they have a good supercomputer they won't get you.
