I think Asian cultures may be more accepting of blackpill theories because they already have a philosophical tradition of resignation to nature (Buddhism, Hinduism) while Western countries are defined by a Judeo-Christian tradition of willpower and overcoming.

Thoughts?

Don't forget Western capitalism. Which teaches us that we can all make it if we pull ourselves up by our bootstraps.

Interesting theory.

I think it has more to do with how societies treat their women - Eastern societies mostly still control their women properly, whereas the West has become complacent and we foolishly allow our women to run rampant like delinquent children. Why did feminism become accepted in the West but not the East?

Western capitalism is derived from Protestantism.

Nope. In China and India, except in some remote places, women rule. Korea and Japan are not even worth mentioning.

I think you must be right. When I was growing up I was told over and over again that I could be anything I wanted if I was tenacious enough. It all fits in neatly to The American Dream. It's not hard to see how the blackpill contradicts the notion of self-improvement being the pathway to success, and that's an ideal many hold dearly (I was once one of them!).

Working hard to achieve success sounds great, but unfortunately it isn't true. And you're right, Buddhism seems to have a clear emphasis on accepting life the way it is.

It's weird: the left wants everybody to be equal (despite the unending contradictions to that belief), and the right wants to 'blame the victim', (because they want to believe life is self-determined). And they are both so, so wrong!

is that governmentally/legally, or socially?
