Some video games are simulations that can educate you on certain topics. Like Sim City where you have to manage economy, infrastructure, banking systems, etc. It teaches you how a city works, how finances work, etc. I actually wouldn't even call such games "games" but professional simulations. The knowledge you gain with those can help in all parts of your life (part of surviving). As for a game like Hello Kitty, Some Sport games (football etc), yeah, that's what idiots play - it doesn't teach you anything usefull. There are some games that are in between, an fps like CS can teach you a lot about weapons, tactics, hiding, etc (again, very useful for survival), but are also very fun to play. So it all depends on *what kind of games you are talking about because otherwise it is a low IQ response
