Therefore, I theorize that babies were the first to do this in certain cut throat environments to increasingly signal distress when born. Then because foids saw the attention babies got from it, they did the same. And because most foids got to reproduce, this is what was passed on.

Humans were given evolutionary advantages by being able to become more sad because depression helps with problem solving (true).
