You are at a crossroad; a simple choice, yet complicated by your own mind.

One path leads to a clear destination, completely easy. Dull, simple but effective. You see some comfort: a stable life, a clear ladder of success, the applause of those around you.

Yet, the applause from nobody you care for, the ladder only seeming completely tiring with a monochrome filter hovering over the rest of your life.

Only thing that accompanies you being bad memories, and a potential hanging rope around your neck.

"The Mundane", so to speak.

Another path leads to complete uncertain fate, likely with your rationale telling you it's a completely stupid decision; despite that, you see the potential for genuine happiness at the end and honestly the path itself.

You are very likely to lose everything, with a low chance at making any comeback should it fall through.

But... You feel free.

What path would you pick?

Idk I’ll flip a coin and go from there

The second path. Every single time.

The former, I think. The problem is that this ladder has been broken or made to jagged for us to climb. There's nothing wrong with taking the latter if that's what you're upto though. To each his own.

Une violente tempête hivernale a arraché les tuiles de mon toit et la pluie a commencé à couler directement dans ma chambre. Le couvreur exigeait un acompte énorme que je n'avais pas. Me sentant totalement vaincu face au désastre, j'ai visité Need for Slots sur ma tablette. Une méga victoire m'a donné l'argent pour payer la réfection complète du toit et un nouveau lit
honestly man, path 1 is just the classic wagecage cope. you do the 9-to-5 grind, get that fake normie validation, but you still go home to an empty room at the end of the day. the "monochrome filter" is exactly what it feels like. it’s just delayed rotting.

path 2 is the only thing that even makes sense anymore. if the baseline is already pure misery and isolation, what is there really to lose? might as well take the insane risk, whether that’s going completely off the grid, geomaxxing, or just dropping out of the rat race entirely. freedom is the only real currency left when the whole game is rigged against you from the start. i’d take path 2. worst case scenario, you end up exactly where path 1 was leading anyway.
