Crash Bandicoot 1 is so much fun. I was recently replaying the game on my Vita and once I picked it up I couldn't stop playing. Crash is precise when it comes to his physics. There's no slipping and it's easy to make a tight jump. Arguably one of the best 3d platformers ever. Too bad Insane Trilogy sucks.

I've gotten so good at the game I can play without getting a game over. I remember as a kid I nearly beat it up to the bridge level without losing a life.

The only parts I dislike are the bolder and hog levels.

One of the first games i ever played when i was a kid. My since then disappeared father had bought a ps1 although we were living in a post-communist impoverished shithole, it was a luxury back then

That, too. The lead programmer for the original Crash 1 actually pointed it out not that long ago.

Crash Bandicoot's original lead programmer reckons the overhauled N. Sane Trilogy 'got almost everything right' except for one tiny detail: 'they completely botched how jumping works'

While a matter of personal taste, I also did not like some of the stylistic changes they made. Crash no-longer going "YEEEE HAAAAW!" after you defeat a boss, the dark atmosphere of Generator Room being toned down, etc.

Neither did I. They put very little effort into atmosphere or preserving the art style. The game looks like one of those unreal engine fan games you'd see on youtube. They messed up the music too.

Wrath of Cortex mogs trilogy unfortunately

Wrath of Cortex mogs Crash 3 by virtue of being harder and having more interesting level themes. It most definitely does not mog Crash 1. Wrath of Cortex still has god awful vehicle themes.

Tekken 3, Spyro, Resident Evil (dont remember which one cause he wouldnt allow me to play it), Kula World, Gran Turismo, Medal of Honor, GTA 1 or 2 (dont remember), Oddword, Medievil. Probably forgetting some.

Special mention to this one cause it's a kinda less known one but it left a mark on me for some reason, i wonder if any of you played it :

I think i remembered it precisely cause the gameplay was pretty good. It's a dynamic 3rd person shooter from an aerial view with a variety of ennemies from goons on foot to other robots, if i remember correctly. Made you feel kinda powerful.

Do you have a ps1 or 2 ? I threw my ps2 away years ago after having some cringe redpill phase of wanting to turn things around/becoming an improver Now i think about buying that tv with a ps2 integrated in it, would be nice for "retro" (i know that's kinda subject to debate) gaming
