It's fucking unbearable holy shit. Massive waste of time. Literally you sit for hours upon hours.

2-3 hours jury selection. Then 2 hours witness bs and then 2-3 hours evidence and deliberation bs.

This shit takes forever and you get paid like ~$5/hr. Cursed experience tbh.

Not gonna discuss the case specifics, but two ethnics had car accident. One ethnic man was clearly in wrong. Case fight was over car damage and health damage severity. massive amount of evidence presented and shown in packets. Doctor report, xray etc bs.

Legit takes forever. Good thing is that I won't have go past tomorrow.

Burgerland invites people for jury duty via random selection. They choose x # people in my state for civil lawsuits, the number of jury members vary.

Jury favors either plantiff(party suing) or defendant (defending party). The jury also detetmines how much compensation they think would be reasonable. Majority members must agree, exact ratio for that varies too. But 5/6,11/12 whatever. Judge merely there for explanation to jury about procedure and rules, allowing or not allowing objections.

Many cases never get this far as both parties do an out of court settlement to save money and time. But in this case, it had been a decade plus since start of lawsuit and no end in site.

Tbh, but in my case one guy was objectively in the wrong. And both parties were ethnic manlets, so I stuck with the facts and majority opinion. Everyone agreed with who was in wrong. Only compensation was in debate.

I did it years ago. They put us in a room of 200 people called the "jury pool" where no phones were allowed and we had to sit there from 9 to 5 until we were selected for a case. Lucky for me I got picked on the 2nd day. The case I was on was a pedo case as well so that was pretty funny
