I have playstation consoles and a gaming PC. The console is for exclusives, and the PC is for everything else. Some people are just put off by the idea of building or maintaining a PC though so the console is easier for them to manage. Some people are also stuck in the mindset that gaming PCs are still expensive. That misconception was not helped by the the cryptocurrency boom wrecking prices during the late 2010s. I remember building a computer in 2018 and seeing prices double the week after I got components.
