The "we" spirit disappeared completely from society. Also immigration lessens social trust. You can even see this lack of empathy in the current cancel culture where someone says or does something that can be perceived to be slightly offensive by anyone anywhere. People form digital lynching groups to socially hang these wrong doers. Lose your job, lose your friends, doxx family and children, send threats to them. It's nasty to think there are so many people out there who are ready to do this type of things for no reason at all.
