NSFW Claymation gore is far more disturbing than real gore.

I can watch Funky Town, A Serbian Film and other shit and I'll just stare and think "that's borign"

But theres something about claymation horror, for that matter, that actually feels quite visceral for me idk. I also find that it has far more potential for being unsettling than the realistic gore be in real life or videogames, but claymation feels like a gore that just hits me way too hard still. Even still I do not get phased very hard by it and I get very bored by realistic gore.

I know claymation gore isnt realistic but it actually gets the visceral elements of gore and tones them up to the maximum.

Not only claymation though I know some games that have it a bit as well such as Splatter School and Demonophobia and it has kinda like that which makes it a bit disturbing. Just visceral properties of what i'd call the essence of gore which is supposed to make you feel an emotion of dread

Maybe it has something to do with using such nostalgic form of animation to present fucked up shit. When I think of clay animation Wallace and Gromit come to mind, not some gore stuff

Check out Lee Hardcastle I really like his stuff and hes made some cult animations that have really stayed with me

Like his toilets one I really identified with them because I had a very overactive imagination as a kid and seeing that I'm not the only one who is scared of fucked up shit is comforting

Yeah, I remember a video talking about Violence Voyager where they brought this exact point up, how the claymation style is just weirdly disturbing by default, even more than real life stuff.
