Good, so to sum all things up: if you're Spaniard, you are required to study STEM in order to have a normal life as a middle-class citizen; if you end up doing trades instead of going to university, you won't be able to have a normal life (you will struggle to acquire food, you won't have any money left for copes, etc).

Most students studying engineering don't belong in engineering, which is why cheating amongst engineering students is some of the highest in universities in any program (it's so fucking common that there are entire studies on it JFL).
